The Founder and Chief Executive of Nekton Oliver Steeds OBE, joins us on this podcast to explain Ocean Rising, an initiative which seeks to deepen the relationship that people have with the ocean. It was launched by Nekton and the Schmidt Ocean Institute. The ocean covers approximately 71% of the earth’s surface. It is home to millions of species of which only a fraction has been discovered. Coastal nations depend on the ocean for their livelihood and economy. Yet in general we know very little about our ocean.
